After using Android my entire life, I decided to switch to iOS

November 28, 2016

I might be one of the younger writers here with Phone Arena, but that doesn’t mean my love for smartphones is lesser than anyone else’s here on the team. The very first smartphone that I owned was the original Palm Pre back in 2010, but my journey with that phone was short-lived. The Touch Bar on the MacBook Pro replaces the traditional row of function keys on the keyboard. To access the function keys temporarily, simply press the fn key, which is the bottom leftmost key on the keyboard. You can then tap F1 – F12 as needed.

Additionally, if you installed Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp, the Touch Bar will automatically default to the function keys while you are in Windows.

You can also manually specify which apps you want to display the function keys by default while you are using them. Here’s how.

How to make the function keys the default display for specific apps on the Touch Bar

You can open the Keyboard section by searching in Spotlight. Or, manually open it via System Preferences.

Where can I find the Nike+ Sport Band look for my Apple Watch? iMore’s got you covered!

When the Apple Watch Series 2 launched, eager users were treated to a ton of fun features: Water resistance, new apps, and modern new colors all made a big splash with the wearable community — especially when it came to runners and exercise buffs. November 28, 2016
Although we live in a world with a larger focus on streaming our media as opposed to locally storing it on our devices, there’s something to be said about the flexibility and freedom that phones and tablets with expandable storage have to offer. Ample amounts of built-in storage certainly are nice, but the ability to swap microSD cards in and out of your phone or tablet to have full control over your media is still the best way to go.

If you own a device with microSD card support and are looking to get your hands on some addition storage, Amazon is currently offering a deal on …

Apple Pay rollout further stymied in Australia

November 28, 2016
More Apple Pay delays Down Under.

Apple Pay may already have a modest presence in Australia, but that modesty is set to continue for the foreseeable future.

In late July, four of Australia’s biggest banks submitted an application to the country’s competition overseer, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC), to enter into a collective boycott of Apple over the California-based company’s mobile payment system, Apple Pay.

To the banks, Apple’s dominant position in the market would lead to a situation where it would preclude the banks themselves from effectively competing in this up-and-coming space. They wanted the Australian regulator to force Apple to open access to its closed-off NFC chip inside the latest iPhones, allowing the banks to integrate their own in-app mobile payment solution, as is possible on Android.

This week, the ACCC denied the banks’ request, further delaying the proliferation of Apple Pay, and mobile payments in general, throughout the coun…
